Dear Ollie Bivins,
Sorry to be so formal and really I’m not, as I consider you a master of a programmer of our great American Music, Jazz.
I have a friend who is a Nobel laureate in economics and I show him as much respect as I’m able to give him. You, as far as Jazz goes are a laureate!
Thank you for all the ear candy you deliver every second Sunday/Monday!
As a listener and I go back to the early days of Jazz in our great State of California and having lived in the Major Cities I have heard the best, met the best and seen the best! There is no top or bottom of the list as all the men and women who play and program the music rank high!
Thank you again and as a frequent member of KPFK, I will renew my membership tomorrow! Thanks for the nudge, as we are members of KPPC, KCRW and soon again, KPFK!
My thanks also to Mark Maxwell.
