The Jazzcat

Hello everyone,

I wish I was able to witness this great tenor player but, I got to Vibrato too late last night. Tonight is the last night Houston Person will be performing and I suggest that you don't miss him. On the bandstand tonight playing piano is our very own world traveling pianist Tamir Hendelman, club manager Pat Senetor on bass and Ralph Penland on drums.

Houston is an outstanding tenor player and has so many recordings to his credit. I last saw Houston perform in New York at the Iridum when it was located near Lincoln Center. This was a night I made it out to several clubs including Sweet Basil, The Vanguard, Birdland, and of course the Blue Note. I was hangin with Vanessa Rubin who introduced me to Houston and the other cats in the band. Houston is not only a cool and funny cat, he is a great guy and tremendous player.
