The Cerritos Center

for the Performing Arts is such a wonderful performance space. It is a

supreme concert hall with the perfect sound for the genius and

legendary master of cognitive love, Mr. Wayne Shorter!

The band walked on

stage and they were greeted by a classy applause. Robert Hurst is in

for John Pattituchi and his flavor adds just the right spice for what

is about to brew!

This is jazz music at

its best. Intellectual, creative and innovating in a way that only true

masters of the game can accomplish. The band starts out peacefully with

Wayne’s

tenor sounding hauntingly beautiful. It is as if he is a poet telling a

story and capturing your imagination with mystical and magical sounds

of joy!

Robert and Brian

sound so superbly in sync. The precision on the bottom is heave with a

rhythmic lyrical clarity. Brian is the best. So fast, smooth and

colorful, he creates sounds that seem to be beyond the capacity of his

drum kit! Danilo is all over is with his subtle comps and bright

confident progressions. The band is a perfect unit playing real music!

Thought provoking, not your average ABA form. It’s all in A! Multidimensional, compassionate, and full of love and enjoyment for making fantastic music.

Like four premier

pieces of exquisite chocolate. Expensive, rich and divine, making for a

pallet of musical sensation. The music is perfectly suite!

Wayne

has been a master of his craft for the last 5 decades. He has been a

powerhouse and a dominating force ever since he set one foot on the

scene. Lee Morgan, Miles, Blakey, Curtis Fuller, Weather Report, you

mention the best in jazz, you mention Wayne Shorter. Master composer,

musician, Grammy winner and outstanding human being.

From God, through the

musicians on stage and straight into our souls, the Wayne Shorter band

is a truly enlightening experience like no other in jazz. Many thanks

and much love for the worlds greatest.

Jazz for Life!
