My article in "All About Jazz"!

Well, the article is finished and in to the editor on time. It is funny when writing for the public, you have to be very careful of what you say. Once it is out there, it is out there forever.
I edited my article probably about 8 times and still found things that I ended up changing. I think that you are going to like the piece. I called it “Jazz and Jazz Radio”. It is a semi-rebuttal to the February article that was written about jazz radio in Los Angeles. The rest emphasises a passion for the music. Jazz music is so important for so many reasons. We all have to support it and our musicians or the art will diminish.
I thought it was going to run in the March issue of AAJ but, it looks like we may have to wait until April. I was told that space was running out and I guess it could not be squeezed in. The article will be edited down but, once it runs, I will post the unedited version right here on the Jazzcat page!
