I have only seen Dewey perform only one time and that was in a duo performance with Joshua at the San Francisco Jazz festival a number of years back. I have had conversations with Ornette where we have talked about the music and about players like Dewey. I did not have the opportunity to know him, speak with him or discuss his philosophies on the music but, I listened and had much admiration. My condolences, love and blessings go out to Joshua and Sharon.
