An outstanding crowd showed up to Lunaria on Wed night to witness a great performer whose beauty and tone were the stars of the night, Hydeus Kiatta!

The moon was full and the music was at its peak. Vocalist and composer Hydeus Kiatta sang songs from her latest disc "On the Ground I walk". A beautiful mixture of tunes composed from her experiences in Morocco and her travels elsewhere. She also sang the music from Ellington’s songbook “Caravan” and “Solitude” She sounded so amazing with her standards and her rendition of Duke’s tunes making for a great combination of music.

Currently Hydeus is working on songs for her new disc to be released sometime in 2004! Can't wait for that one. This is one artist I am sure that you will be seeing a lot more around town. If you missed the show, don't worry, Lunaria Restaurant and Jazz Club definitely wants to have her back!
